“Light straw with aromas of green apple, pear, grapefruit and a touch of the banana esters of youth. Hints of crème fraîche, meadow flowers, almond paste, stone and curd. Lightly textural, with a distant suggestion of crushed dried herbs, crunchy fruit and a saline twist to the acid profile.” Dave Brookes - January, 2026

"Powder puff and rosewater hints under brown and nashi pear, butter, green melon rind, ground flour, cupboard dust, candle and honey wafer. A rich and handsome style of Gris. Carrying a round and generous profile, the flavours run through the pome fruit spectrum. The finish juicy and bright, punctuated by piquant, arugula spice. Stays true to varietal framing." "You can choose any wine - literally any wine - from the Bream Creek range and you won't be disappointed. Fred Peacock and his team from the Tasman Peninsula are masters of consistent excellence. This has the lot - length, texture and balance - and probably sits midway between gris and grigio styles. It's classic cool-climate white with appealing pear/apple/citrus flavours and plenty of palate interest/crunchy acid alongside immediate drinkability. Pair this anything from a mushroom quiche to fritto misto. Startlingly good value at $36." Winsor Dobbin
